Only Watch 2015: top watchmakers united to fight muscular dystrophy

Under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco, the 6th edition of the Only Watch charity auction will take place in Geneva. The event is organised by Association Monégasque contre les Myopathies, the Monaco Yacht Show and Phillips in association with Bacs & Russo. 44 top watchmakers create one-off timepieces in order to support the research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Speed and Time is very proud to be present at this amazing charity event and discover extraordinary and one of a kind masterpiece. Patek Philippe 5016A-010

Rafael Nadal carried out the ultimate approval test by wearing the RM 27-02 prototype during Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open. The brand unveiled the very first skeletonise baseplate known as “unibody” in which the caseband and baseplate have been fused into a single place. The RM 27-02 belongs to the elite circle of Richard Mille watches destined to leave their mark on their era.  The bezel and caseback of the RM 27-02 are made from NTPT® carbon and TPT® Quartz, a groundbreaking new material designed and developed by Richard Mille in partnership with North Thin Ply Technology. MB&F celebrates its first decade under the theme: ”A creative adult is a child who survived”. Melchior is a robot buddy born to help children but is also a unique high-end table clock featuring jumping hours, sweeping minutes, double retrograde seconds and a 40-day power reserve.  Maximilian Büsser developed the concept with designer Xin Wang.  This piece unique Melchior “Only Watch” is the 100th and final movement in the Melchior series. Clothed in palladium-plated brass and steel with red highlights, he will make his new owners smile each time they set eyes on him. Weighing 6.3 kilograms (almost 14 pounds) this is one heavy action figure. It is designed with posable limbs which are intended to look like a rocket launcher or a Gatling gun. Estimate: $47,8K
